Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. I keep it short and plain. “I” and “me” mean Kyle Bombard, who runs Nosara Realtor | Kyle Bombard. Kyle is a real estate agent at Surfing Nosara, and all real estate services are provided through Surfing Nosara.

What I collect

  • Contact form (“Message Kyle”): your name, email, preferred language, your message, and your consent.
  • Digest signup: your email address, plus the language of the page and the date you signed up, so I have a record of your consent.
  • Emails or messages you send me directly: whatever you choose to include.
  • Language choice (EN | ES): saved only in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is not sent to me or to anyone else.
  • Technical data: like most websites, the service that delivers this site (Cloudflare) handles your IP address and basic technical details, such as browser type and pages requested, to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
  • Analytics: this site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. If I add privacy-friendly, cookie-free visitor counts later, I will update this page.

Google Fonts and Google Maps

To show the site’s fonts, the pages load Google Fonts, and the Nosara area section can show an embedded Google Map. When these load, Google receives your IP address and browser details, and Google Maps may use cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Links to X, Instagram, Surfing Nosara and Google Maps only leave this site when you click them.

How I use it

To answer your questions and follow up about Nosara real estate; to send you the Digest if you joined it; and to run and secure this website. I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Calls, emails and texts (consent)

When you tick the consent box on the contact form, you agree that Kyle Bombard may contact you by call, email and text for real estate services. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. To stop texts, reply STOP at any time; for help, reply HELP. Emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can always write to [email protected] to opt out of any channel.

The Digest is sent by email only to people who ask to join, and I may ask you to confirm your email address first. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.

Who else sees it

I share information only with the services that help me run this site and my work: the email platform that sends the Digest and delivers form messages (Nitrosend); the website host and network (Cloudflare); Google (fonts and maps, as above); contact-management tools used by me or by Surfing Nosara; and Surfing Nosara itself, the brokerage through which real estate services are provided, when needed to help you. These providers handle data on my behalf, and some of them are located outside Costa Rica, including in the United States. I do not sell or rent personal information. I may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

As long as needed for the purposes above, or until you ask me to delete it or you unsubscribe.

Your choices and how to ask

To see, correct or delete your information, or to withdraw your consent, write to [email protected]. I will answer as soon as I reasonably can.

Costa Rica: personal data is protected by Law No. 8968, the Law on the Protection of Individuals regarding the Processing of their Personal Data (Ley de Protección de la Persona frente al Tratamiento de sus Datos Personales). Under it you may ask for access, rectification and deletion of your data, and withdraw your consent. You can also contact the data protection agency, Prodhab (Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes).

United States, European Union and elsewhere: depending on where you live, local law may give you similar or additional rights, such as the right to know, correct or delete your data, or to object to how it is used. Write to the same address and I will do my best to honor them.

Children

This site is for adults and is not directed to children under 18.

Changes

If this page changes, I will update the date at the top.
